G0TEZ/TPK 1.83d Msg Num:579 Date:13-11-2004 Time:14:24 GMT in Nelson, NW England.

A week ago, I saw a massage asking for help/advice.
I thought I would leave it up to an expert to answer.
When it appaeared again, I offered a suggestion, in good faith.

Quick as a flash!

Back came a sneering reply, implying I should go and learn about electronics.

That is the last time I get caught. It is about 10 years since the first
time and it doesn't happen often. I forget who or what it was about back
then but the man who made the cry for help was really nasty.
I wasn't used to packet in those days. It is almost as big a risk if you
ask for help. You do get the occasional insulting reply.

On the good side, there are some really helpful people out there. My own
sysop is one, Mel G4WYW is another.
For many years, I rejected HELP bulls with TPK's REJECT option.
It doesn't work now I don't have unproto headers.
I had forgotten why I added it. If I could reject them again, I would.

Take care, Ian.
