Any audio that the PC plays from whatever source can be recorded by using any
sound recorder program such as the one supplied with windows. All that is
required is to go into audio properties and change the input selection to the
correct source and then adjust the volume to a suitable level. This file can
then be saved on the hard drive as a wav or mp3 file. It can then be written
to dvd/cd as required.

I use Cool Edit 2000 for this process which allows me to cut out sections,
adjust audio levels etc... before burning to disc, but there are several free
one available on the internet.

It is not a good idea to burn direct to disc, cutting out the saving to hard
drive, due to the problems with buffer under-runs that can occur with this
process.
