First, ZIPing a picture may give a LARGER file than a smaller one,
defeating the object. BMPs are usually around the biggest for instance,
with JPGs being much smaller and possibly the most common used for ease of
transport, perhaps and .PNG being likely the smallest format.

If you are using Winpack, then make sure that you have something akin to

[TERMINAL]
ZIP=D:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe
UNZIP=D:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe

under "TERMINAL" in your PACKET.INI and that the path to your ZIP
programme is where it says it is. This may be your problem, IF you are
using WinPack.

Does PKZIP "not work" because it is corrupt, or because you do not have it
where it is "looked for"?

If you are using WinPack to 7PLUS it, it will also ask you if you wish to
ZIP it so it goes without saying that there is no point in ZIPing it
twice. Good luck.
