If you can communicate between these same two machines using modems
and a phone line, I see no reason why you can't substitute TNCs for
the modems, attach radios to the TNCs and carry on almost without
breaking stride.
Configuration of your TNCs plus a bit of fiddling with your dialing
strings to send commands to force a TNC connection vs dialing a phone
number is about the only change I see necessary. More would be
involved if security is an issue.

Take a look at:
http://www.raag.org/sv2agw/
He has an NDIS driver, and many other solutions. The TCP/IP over radio
part does have a charge, but it is less than a 6-pack of beer.
Also look at Linux and built-in IP and AX.25.
The AGWPE (packet engine) is also really neat for programming packet
radio solutions using IP and sockets.
Very powerful Windows interface, and similar to the one included
with Linux.

Subject: MFJ 1278B/DSP info request
Has anyone used the MFJ 1278B/DSP multi-mode controller? I'm
considering buying it, but would like to hear any users feedback, good or
bad, before I decide.
I'm using an old PK-232 right now, but it's fading fast. I'm also
thinking about the KAM-98 and the Timewave PK232/DSP.
Any input or comparisons on these units is appreciated!!
Thanks
Dave
