Yes, we'll be using PSK31 in our Field Day operation, probably mostly on 20m.
I've only been on PSK a short time but it's been interesting to explore. My
daughter, the chat room fan, likes it a lot. She types like the wind and
hates
microphones. We thought it would be a good public demo thing. The concept of
"chat" without a billion dollars of Internet infrastructure appeals to the
kids.

Yup, that was Paccom. They no longer service what they sold.
Ask the VE3EQP. There was a dispute (from what I've heard) that the
was a dispute between Paccom and SCS, what it was, I don't know, and
don't really care either.

Subject: Website advocates MP3.com boycott

June 15, 2000 - 11:30 AM PDT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Website advocates MP3.com boycott

NetRadioLive, an independent Webcasting site operated by Jordan Dorf and
NetMediaLive Productions, has issued a call for independent artists,
musicians, and Web listeners to boycott the MP3.com service immediately.
This boycott stems from an inflammatory statement filed in court by MP3.com
CEO Michael Robertson on behalf of the RIAA, as part of a collective effort
to shut down the Napster file-sharing service.

According to Jordan Dorf, CEO of NetMediaLive Productions and host of the
NetRadioLive webcast, "In this brief, Michael Robertson and his company are
trying to assert proprietary rights over independent works. Artists
submitted these works to MP3.com under a non-exclusive promotion agreement,
yet Robertson wants to block them from promoting these same works on Napster
and other file-sharing services. This is hypocrisy, and in its desperate
attempt to appease the RIAA, MP3.com is now screwing the artists and the
listener community that helped it become successful in the first place.

"We urge independent artists to remove their MP3 files from MP3.com
immediately, and to send a clear message to MP3.com that they will take
their eyes, ears, and MP3 files elsewhere until Michael Robertson retracts
this outrageous, hypocritical statement."

The original Robertson brief, as it was filed on behalf of the RIAA, can be
found at the following URL:

More information about NetRadioLive and the MP3.com boycott can be found at
