I am looking to buy an interface to run PSK31 (and other sound card modes) on.
Does anybody have one that they will sell me (or give me?).

I will be using a TEN-TEC Argosy IID.

Subject: Need suggestions for PK-232 MBX on RTTY

PKTerm runs the TNC in host mode, and checks the TNC for correct baud to the
computer, so it wouldn't come up and work if it wasn't talking to the TNC.

If you're on LSB, then you need to adjust the DCD knob until the DCD light
goes out. You're probably getting random noise and if the DCD light is on
all the time in RTTY mode, the PK-232 will decode the noise as characters.

Once the DCD is set to not come on until a signal is heard above the nosie
level, you can make sure it's tuning a correct RTTY signal by making sure
the tuning indicator leds are blinking as far right and left as possible and
centered...

Try tuning in a Pactor signal -- Pactor is indifferent to whether you
are USB or LSB. If it works, but RTTY will not parse, you are using
the wrong sideband option. RJB.

I mean, except for receiving RTTY characters, does the PK232 output the
correct characters to the computer?

That probably means that you don't have the audio input to the PK232
wired up properly. You certainly should be able to light the end LEDs
on the PK232 display by tuning through a *strong* FSK signal.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean. When I'm in the HF mode, there is a
split screen blue on top (in my case) and white on the bottom. When I
select different modes, RTTY or CW for example, the top (blue) screen
reflects my choice, and will say, for example, Baudot or CW.

It looks like the extreme end LEDs don't light, but the LEDs next to the end
on either side do. But when there is a station, it is very unclear and they
all seem to sort of blink - very difficult to tell what is happening.
