Subject: DSP upgrades to PK232MBX
I used the PK-232 (pre-DSP upgrade) and a Kam + for many QSOs. In my
opinion the PK-232 was clearly better on Pactor (the only digital mode
other than PSK31 that I do a lot of)... I would assign a Kam with a
failing grade as regards Pactor, while the PK-232 was maybe a C+/B-.
The SCS PTC-II is an "A".

Subject: FS: Astron Power Supply transformers
For sale:
Astron power supply transformers
(1) from an Astron RS-20M
(1) from an Astron RS-35M
I replaced the standard 110v transformers in two Astron power supplies
with switchable 110-220v transformers. The transformers which were replaced
are now available. They are in perfect operating order, run quietly (these
are not hummers!)
RS-20 transformer: 110v ac primary, 34v (no load) ac secondary with
center-tap. This transformer is capable of a continuous 16A cont. 20A
intermittent current draw. There is a also another secondary winding, 44v ac
but I don't know how much amperage draw is capable from it. $18
RS-35 transformer: 110v ac primary, 34v (no load) ac secondary with
center-tap. This transformer is capable of 25A cont., 35A
intermittent current draw. There is a also another secondary winding, 44v ac
but I don't know how much amperage draw is capable from it. $25
Either (or both) would make a perfect replacement for your existing supply,
a great addition for the hobbyist or 'built it yourselfer'!
Buyer would pay shipping from S. FL 33478

Subject: Help - JVCOMM32 installation problems
Hello all,
I have downloaded JVCOMM32 from the JVCOMM website but I am having a bit of
a problem running the program.
When I start the program I get a message telling me that the exe file is
corrupted and that this was most probably caused by a virus. I have run
McAfee Virusscan and tried to re-install the program but still get the same
problem.
Any help on solving this problem would be appreciated. Please reply to
joe@g4wjr.freeserve.co.uk

You have to download it again.
The program has an integrity check built into it,
a virus may be the cause,
or if somebody tries to change the exe,
the check routine will give a virus alarm.
Bad times for crackers :-)

Not that it matters but a win98 machine IS a dos-based machine.
As to what OS is required for 'talking' to the tnc, someone gave you wrong
