Jesus, is it just not possible on USENET to have a discussion about a
topic without it degenerating into a defense of Morse Code? I am so
sick of hearing how great or how not-great Morse Code is .... give it
a rest, say, maybe ten decades or so.

But Roger, this r.r.a.p USENET newsgroup was created for the purpose
of getting the Morse code discussions off the serious newsgroups.

Subject: Need description of FSTV TR70A

I've run across a small box with the label FSTV "TR70A"

Can anyone tell me more about this device?

The front panel has a power switch and what appears to be a tuning dial.
The back has an antenna jack and what appears to be an output for a
television.
Anyone have more information?

Thanks,

Hi, there is a link to TRUETTY at:
http://aintel.bi.ehu.es/psk31.html

TRUETTY does both PSK31 and RTTY

Also - there is a excellent manual on how to set up WinPSK in .PDF
format at link above. I found it very useful to help set things up.

I hope the helps,

Dale

Subject: RTTY Contests Software for SWL ?

When doing some RTTY-Contest (BARTG EA-WW ...) last year, it was a very
hard job to type in all the stations into a txt-log on PC.
I wonder, why there is no software to do this job for me.

I am always working in Class SWL.

Does anyone have a idea ??

While the hardware is the same, the programming is operating
system dependent.

As others have mentioned, use Windows API functions under
Windows 95/98/NT/2000.

Linux: open() /dev/dsp and use ioctl()/read()/write().

DOS: consider an upgrade.

Getting the samples is easy. What you do with them is where
the fun starts!

The best of the best! HAL PCI-4000 digital modem. Sophisticated DSP
processor performs Clover, RTTY, Pactor, Amtor. Works with Express, XPWin,
Writelog, WF1B, XPPCI. Requires 1 full ISA slot but does NOT require an IRQ!
Card is 'A' model, serial number < 600, with latest proms. Trade for radio
or laptop of equal value.
