I can't find the BBS one? Which RFC covers the Ham Radio BBS
mail system? Shows that it is guaranteed delivery?

Semantics.

None is required of the BBS system, but many SMTP *systems* provide for a
mail receipt.

Semantics. propping up the BBS paradigm again... Should I break out my
XMODEM protocol?

The /var/spool/mail directory may be full, may crash etc. Your not telling me
anything new.

On RTTY the KAM+ times out and goes back to rx. I have moved the jumper to
the longer timeout position, which I think is supposed to be 10 minutes. It
still drops out 2-4 minutes into a qso. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Of course. This whole thread is about the "glories" of digital voice
radio, I'm at best only mildly interested in the whole topic in both
it's voice and teleprinting varieties. I'm getting leaned on for not
being "excitd" about any of it, it ain't my thing and never will be my
thing. I beep dx for the most part so forget "shoving the stuff down
my throat" and I ain't making any bones about it. I'll try some
digital radio. When I see some of these upcoming 5wpm digigeek
Generals beep anybody I'll have more respect for what they actually
know about HF ham radio.
