I didn't say "the best", nor did you. Read above.
Name some of those better brands.
Name the models.
Explain what is "better" about them.

Subject: writing software to decode packet via sound card ?
-- Reposting this as it didn't appear last time ?!
Hi all,
I'm trying to write some Windows software to decode 1200 baud packet
(and perhaps other modes if I get any further !) but was wondering if
anyone has any info on the tones used etc...
I have the program getting the buffer from the sound card and putting it
onto a graph (looks nice !) but now comes the hard part : decoding the
buffer into packets ! Do I need to process the buffer with an FFT
routine first ?
Any hints, tips, pointers in the right direction gratefully received !!!
Andy
