Of course, leap year problems are more likely in equipment that is
y2k-aware than in equipment that isn't. Programs that just use a 2-digit
year number and the simple "any year divisible by 4 is a leapyear" will
work just fine. Otoh, when a "clever programmer" who "knows that there is
something different about century years" got his fingers on the program,
it may fail.

True for 2000 but not true in general. Hopefully by 2100 Timewave
will have a new model to replace the PK-232 :-)
Note: years ending in "00" must be evenly divisible by 400 to be a
leap-year.

Hello Red,
My DSP-2232 fired up this morning 02/21/00 with PC PakRATT/WIn 2.1. There is a
Y2K problem with 2.0. You will get a "BAD COMMAND ARGUMENT" window when it
tries to load the date. That is fixed in ver 2.1 of PC RATT/WIN. I've also
tested PK TERM 99 on the DSP-2232. No problems thus far.

I take it the building has no windows, and running a coax is not
acceptable?

Software for doing this for both SSTV and PSK31 is easy to find.
Check out NB6Z's excellent website, which has links all over the
place. LOGGER is an excellent program for PSK31 which works with the
soundcard, and it is free.
JVComm32 works for SSTV on the sound card. A fully functional demo
version may be downloaded from their website.
There are programs that will work with RTTY and Pactor 1, but I am not
familiar with their specifics, sorry.
Hope this helped.
