Hello Rob,
I run my DSP-599zx with WF1B, COMP-RTTY and DSP RTTY without a problem. The
cable is a standard 9 to 9 RS-232 cable.
The DSP-599zx and the DSP--59Y do use pin-2 for the mark/space input. Thats a
standard TU interface.

Hi John,
many thanks for the EMAIL on DSP-599zx..
I have never heard of COMP-RTTY. What is it? Where can I Find it?
Can you also please tell me whether there are any firmware upgrades for the
DSP-599zx?? (how can I tell what is the present version of the firmware?)

Actually, the manual states the RTTY Remodulator and RTTY Modem are not
designed to work above 75 baud -- see pages 1-12 and 1-13.

You can try operating some of the faster modes if you can get one of the
programs working. Some may work, but not necessarily as well as you might
like. We were not trying to built a multimode data controller when we
designed the DSP-599zx so we did not make any attempt to specify or design it
as anything more than a very flexible and accurate filter product for all
popular HF data modes, voice and CW as well as a great low speed RTTY modem.
