Kenwood is holding a contest that gives away a TH-D7, a Palm Pilot III, and
a Garmin GPS. Do they have something that works between the Palm and the
TH-D7?

Naw, I just go for quality. - Wherever I find it.
I'm not part of the grand old socialist tradition of attempting to tear down
people or groups of people who have been successful, simply because of their
success.
When I see the word "Microsoft", I see a brand name, not the "Micro$oft"
word that points out the company's profits as if there was something wrong
with that.
Capitalism is here to stay. Socialism is not economically viable.
Get used to it.

Charles,
Every time I hear this argument, I have this mental picture of IBM whining
about how the PC destroyed a perfectly good mainframe business.
Let's dump our PCs, resurrect some old 360s, and save the mainframe
world.

Oh, I see... If we eliminate Morse code, then the use of Radio altogether,
Ham Radio will benefit, right?
Stupid bastard.

What's the state-of-the-art in hardware FSK demodulators?
Any slick circuits/single-chip and improvements over the
past ten years? For hams with FSK generators built into
their transceivers (IC-706) an inexpensive FSK demodulator
and PC software would be all that is needed to do AMTOR,
RTTY, ASCII, and PACTOR II.

It has been at least 10 years, but I built several fsk units with Exar 2206
/ 2211 set.
Same as used in most of the packet radio TNc's, and with just a couple of
resistors
I was able to select the center frequency and bandwidth that I wanted. I
generally set up the center freq to match the 500 htz cw filter on my radio.
Then using an lm xxxx ( i forget) bar / dot driver and an LED dip , you
could use the Demodulators reference voltage and
vco voltage to display where in the demodulators pass band the tones fall as
you tune the radio.
I was generally able to tune 300 baud packet on the first packet, or rtty
with in a few charectars using
that display. It was available comercially from several sources.
USED to be able to get all of the above chips at Radio Shack, but I don't
