No, what I wanted is a TNC that can use ALL modes that are good and that
means that the owners license them for a REASONABLE fee making it up with
the much higher volumes that result. Witness The PC case closed. It is
either that or an analog for Windows comes out that means there is only one
but at least it is standard and everything works with it. How would you like
that?
Again, I refuse to buy three TNC just to get PACTOR, CLOVER, and GTOR, as I
say, what a mess.

That is not at all true. FCC will mandate a single standard and then all
will follow it, no choice, and I think it is already done so you won't see
all these modes for long.
