software, so figured it was time to rattle the usual cages again.

Weather is perfect, a couple antennas need work, so I'm outa
here for awhile. Maybe I'll add 80M to the scan list this week.

Hank:

Have fun with the antennas and remember don't be too hard on your fellow
hams.

It is not just the amateur radio hobby where the "few" work hard to benefit
the "many".

Everyone acknowledges the great efforts that the principal contributors like
yourself and others make to our hobby.

But you know the story. . . . work, wife, kids, church, television,
Internet, sports, other hobbies, and not much time is left for the average
ham to make major contributions to the hobby.

Those who do make major contributions are like the "saints" or "legends" of
any hobby. As you know well, they do it mainly for the self satisfaction,
and maybe a little business on the side.

Best Regards,

        Peter AB4BC

PMFJI again. I know you have been a ham roughly about as long as I have, but
there was a tounge-in-cheek article in the April CQ one year that actually
advocated this. It was a back issue I picked up at a hamfest somewhere in the
'70's. It is almost scary. Advocate something totally silly, like a random
dialing system to imitate DX, and lo and behold it comes true! <g>

Thanks. (You may email me at nw7us@hfradio.removethispart.org by removing the
