Greetings all
even had a mother board or Atx power supply that you wanted to test
and found that either you could test the power supply or the power
supply wouldnt fire up the mother board.
Well I found the answer, on every ATX power supply there is a
green wire usually right next to a black wire.
Pins 3 and 4 on the strip connector although I have found that
there is only ever one green wire on the strip connector.
Just short the green wire with the nearest available black
wire on your ATX power supply and away it goes.

If the mother board on your PC is sometimes not firing up the
power supply link the green and black wires back to a switch
somewhere on your case and turn it on manually.
Some of the P3 intel boards were bad for this.

Hope this helps you a much as it has helped me
best to all
