My CPU is running at the moment at around 45c, and the motherboard at
33c. These values are typical for my AMD K6 200MHz (Socket 7), which
runs in a room temp of around 20-25c. However my AT un-tower (what's the
term for a box that sits under the monitor rather than standing up?)
case is pretty hot inside, coz I've got three HDDs spinnin', and other
cards. I has little extra cooling other than what the PSU provides. It
runs fine though. The heatsinking on the CPU is a standard fan type.
On hot days, the CPU can reach 49c, but only when air temp is around
25-30c. Not often does this happen down south here!
I'd say your CPU's temperature is quite normal, but alot of semis don't
like temperatures much above 50c while they're operating so don't push
it too far.
Seventy-Three.
