Hello to everyone,

There has been some discussion on computer noise and some solutions. All very
interesting and most noted for future reference.

Can somone tell me what a normal CPU temperature, should be??

I have a Celeron 1.7 in an Asus Mother board in a normal midi tower case. I
also have an extra case extraction fan to assist in the cooling process. This
computer is used as the house file server and back up server. It is switched
on most of the time.

The mother board temp runs at 28c or 82f. About room temp plus or minus 5c for
this time of year here in Brisbane.

The CPU runs at 49c or 120f, plus or minus 2-3c, depending room temp.

The CPU has a standard Intel fan set up.

So is this temp normal and acceptable for the location of the computer and the
ambient temps??

Look forward to some discussion on normal temps and some solutions for high
temp CPU's

Cheers
