Hi Bob and others

In VK3 the same general rules apply but the fine is $400 last time I heard
and is probably more now as we have just had a whole heap of rule changes
only a week ago.

Still doesn't stop the idiots. You spot them talking and driving, phone
jammed in their ear all the time

I also have a blue tooth hands free earpiece and also a blue tooth remote
speaker mic. I find that it's best to just use the earpiece to answer the
call and then find somewhere to pull over to allow concentration on the
call.

I find one downside to these devices is that on several occasions I have
left the remote speaker on in the car whilst I have gone into a shop with
the phone in my pocket. It's rung and the remote speaker has answered the
call before I can get the phone out of my pocket. Once answered I can't
get the call back to the phone........ Ain't technology great... sigh.....

I don't really know why but I find that listening and then talking on ham
radio is no where near as distracting from driving as using the phone in
any mode.

                                 Regards Tony VK3API
