Hello all Tuners.

Andy, G0FTD, commented on a simple question from VE1AEE.

VE1AEE wrote:-
> I am looking for a heavy tuner that will handle full legal limit,

To which Andy, ignoring the question, replied with gusto and great delight...

"The power handling of an ATU depends upon the impedance of the antenna
it's matching."

"The higher the impedance the less power it can handle."

Now, pay attention! Please explain that, and include your mathematics.

I hope you are not having us on, again. :-(

To reply to VE1AEE, you could have said, 'AMERITRON' have made their ATUs
with a heavy duty 'switched' inductor for many years. Others do the same,
but MFJ seem to be staying with a roller inductor.

Now, why didn't you think of that? No tick this time - a black mark!
