Kathy, VK4XYL spoke about a mobile SSB Rig which she had on the back of her
push bike. Another rig, which is basically an HT is the very popular Yaesu
FT290R. This set, of which I am a proud ownerr, has FM, CW and USB/LSB. It can
be carried like an HT. Of course, you're limited to the 2m band.
'Twas good to see the possible extension to 7 MHz from WRC.
Also, NiCads DO develop memories despite what our Pommy friends think
