Without being a tad pedantic David, must we put up with American
expressions in your bulletins? I'd have thought that you, being a true
Englishman, would have used the English spelling of 'labor' as I would,
ie, 'labour'.
Don't you think that we have enough Americanisms creeping into our
language without you adding to them?
I notice we now have, in newspapers especially, the expression, "I'm
sick to my stomach." For Gawds sake, where are we going to be sick to,
Our toenails? When I was a boy we felt sick, the stomach was never
mentioned. By the way, do you know the Americans don't know how to
spell 'Litre' which is the correct spelling, not liter.
Now, I await a 6K+ reply, to my reply, to the bulletin to this topic,
