Ray,
If you do what Jerry is saying, the user will log into a fpac prompt, fpac
becomes the shell. And that is all the user gets, they will never see regular
shell, just fpac.

Now I shall crawl into my hole again...

Hi Chuck,

Maybe I didn't absorb as much as I should have. As soon as I saw the
4755 permissions I got cold feet.

Thanks for giving me a jolt.

Chuck is correct but most Linux distro don't install the telnet server any
more
so you also most likely have to install it too.

Nice to see you come out of your hole after almost a year Chuck...

Just looking at it now. I can't find reference to the -m option in my
man pages and Debian spits the dummy if I use it. I normally don't use
any commandline options to add a user.

ok on telnet. I always install both the telnet and ftp servers on my
systems. They are sooo handy.

I should have mentionned also that fpacusers must have permission to
write into loggedin.
So, it is necessary to set write permission on this file :

chmod a+x /usr/local/var/ax25/fpac/loggedin
