Coal. 1 Stone per mile.
Dung (dry) 1 cwt per mile.
Straw. 1 cwt per furlong.
Straw + dung. 1 furlong, 4 chains per cwt.
Speed can be increased by the addition of Cooking Fat @ abt 1 lb per 1/2
cwt. When added to dry wood, speeds in excess of 960 furlongs per hour
are possible but BEWARE avoid exceeding 8 Bars boiler pressure!
Optional extras include radiators front and rear to warm the cabin in
inclement weather. Due to the high speeds possible with the Rolls
Right , wind screen wiper brushes are now fitted as standard, as
are brakes.
An odometer can be included, marked in leagues and furlongs to
remind the drover when fuel and, more importantly, water are
required.
A clock is also fitted with chimes which can be sounded to warn
pedestrians of one's approach should the steam horn be deemed
offensive.
The clock can be useful to help calculate ones speed, should one
wish to do this e.g., to pass the time on long journeys.
. A pair of binoculars is supplied together with a compass and an
an Ordnance Survey map to assist, should one lose one's way.
All are British made, of course, the binoculars being Zice Ltd.
A pair of matched Purdey shotguns is supplied should the passengers
wish to shoot their own rabbit wood cock etc., or just pass the
time.
The price is 10,000 guineas for the fully equipped model. An
extra 400 Florins per annum buys membership of the Royal Automobile
Club, though this is not really necessary as everyone knows, Rolls
Rights don't break down. The RAC are always ready to provide fuel
especially in cities where losebranches etc., are not always easy to
find. There are usually plenty of ragamuffins who will be prepared to
sell firewood or even coal, for a few farthings a bag.
I trust the above meets with your approval. Your's Faithfully the Rt Hon
G0TEZ.
