This has allways been a "gentlemen's" agreement in packet, but I guess this
has been forgotten, or maybe some people are so new in packet that they
never bothered to familiarise with the 'rules' or agreements.

That is BS! This is simply pure arrogance, not WILLING to adhere to
agreements that oprobably were in excistance before you even heared of
packet.

So, because of this you simply decide that Europe is part of Germany,
Austria and Switserland ..... Eh, no, it was arrogance...
If bulletins are for a certain area, then these bulletins should simply be
spread in the area they are meant to be.
Currently we support country wide, continent wide, world wide and
specialized area's,.like @AMSAT, @LATNET and more.
Who does prevent you from distributing @DL in Austria and the German
speaking parts of Switserland?
I know I have even seen @OEDL. Or create a distribution area @OEDLCH, or
even @GERMAN and make sure that is distributed in all German speaking area's
of these three countries.
@DL is even distributed in a large part of NL.
@NLDNET is also distributed in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium.
But, as there is quite a large colony of Dutch in Spain, maybe we should
simply forget alout NLDNET and simply send @EU....? And not to forget South
Africa and large area's of Dutch immigrants in the US; so, the Dutch should
definitely forget about NLDNET and simply write @WW....

No, I indeed don't read this topic: I simply have it rejected in my BBS.

Well, most people in Europe can't read Germans, as they did not learn that.
But, as not all Germans have learned English, maybe other people better
start writing German when writing @EU....?

It's already bad enough that we have people, who call themselfs sysops, who
don't have a clue about how the world is put together and simply
re-distribute bulletins all over the world, where they were not meant to be.
Examples:
ALLUS re-distributed to WW.
LATNET re-distributed to WW
ARL re-distributed to EU

But, you're not the exception..... We also see bulletins @EU written in
French, Italian, Turkish and probably more.
You just only handed a bulletin that simply required a reply.
