Hello to ...well I hope this grabs the attention of Warren KB2VXA
as Trains are close to his heart, and it did seem like I was
BBQing them in WIND @WW.

This posting too is due to received info from WIND @WW where
Mr. Stephenson's "ROCKET" of 1829 and hens laying eggs ??????
or something, was used to make a point...oh well ...that is
done and over....but the info back and ideas of those emailing
me was interesting and a wonder few hours to spend in online
museums looking at this rolling stock.

I even found out, that there was an earlier train engine of 1804
and via the video, it looked an interesting machine, and demonstrated
in pride by the man operating it in the video.

The newpaper clipping of the "ROCKET" of 1829 at Painhill to win
a contract to supply locomotives for a railway line was also
of interest, and mmmm...no where anything about hens laying eggs
or cows ...so ... ????

I enjoyed the time at sites in UK and USA, and the records speak
for themselves. So much for using them to make a point, that
didn't not happen. The only incident reported for that day
in 1829, was the accidental killing of a MP of the national
government. There is NO mention anywhere of hens not laying
due to the operation of a railway, and BTW the videos of the
ROCKET copys running showed them as being quiet. If there were
any hens nearby and stopped laying, as sounds do spook'em
they were either being BBQ'ed by the Rocket's boiler...or
on the engine somewhere or ..what? Interesting of note
too was the boiler. It was a design of a Frenchman in France
where due credit is given. No HENS ... get your history right.

Hope you get to these places warren..but I think you already
were...and I loved that item you posted....for ??? about
the secret mission of the Rocket in Europe...and the cows
making cheese ... hahahahaha..I hope it was chocolate milk.
