Hi Peter and all,
Barely a peep out of Bob on the last round, he's plotting something, I
just KNOW it. You can't mean Bobasaurus Rex the last dinosaur, he's so
full of scars from spurs he can't be ridden, an ornery old cuss these
days. Careful with Dino, as Fred can tell you he's young and full of
mischief.
Well, where's Allyn? He's harder to find than Waldo and Carmen SanDiego
put together! He must be a sandbagger reading and not writing so give him
another poke and a glass of wine, if you get him drunk enough he just
might decide to fumble with the keyboard. Maybe two pokes so he'll get
annoyed enough to tell us to stop talking about him.
I know about Roger Clements, just haven't heard him referred to as
Rocket. Maybe because I pay no attention to the babbling of the
announcers, their comments are pretty lame. Anyhoo, the Yankees are doing
pretty well but like Yogi says, it ain't over 'till it's over and we have
a ways to go before the fat lady takes the field, that is as long as it's
not Basement Bertha.
Bob only said he doesn't like beer, no mention of ale or lager. Hops
makes a dry lager which is fine, only some brewers use too much and make
it bitter. That's why I don't like Samuel Adams in particular and prefer
ale, no hops, no bite and it's smoother too. My mother preferred stout
and turned me on to it, if you can stand a spoon in it you have good
brew, when you remove the spoon and it has no bowel it's GREAT brew. BTW,
that's also the measure of engineer's coffee. The cup is the indicator,
if brown he's a BSEE, if black an MSEE, if silver a PhD. The more spoon
metal is transferred to the porcelean the stronger the electrolytic
action, the stronger the difference in potential between his hands as he
stirs. The English engineers drink tea with lemon to make it conductive,
one Polish guy I knew used too much lemon and shorted himself out, living
testament to positive and negative Poles in superconducting liquid
electrolyte.
Hmmm, Blithe & Virginia a Canadian remake of Selma & Louise or Virginia
Blithely Does Mooseport? This should be interesting but I'll wait until
it comes out on DVD since I missed the DBD from Oz, The Last Dinosaur.
So, where were all the Skyporn butt spotters during that storm? Maybe
they had the sense to stay home and leave it to the pros. I hear they do
a good job in Indiana but this is New Jersey and fodder for the Comedy
Channel, not the Weather Channel. If the boater with the broken mast was
on the 2M repeater up north where I last heard them I'm not surprised,
even the jammers made more sense. I hope Skywarn got their act together,
Ham Sexy makes fun of the logo but those guys were the ones who designed
it and it still looks like a butt to me.
Hey, I was talking about poking a BAG of bull with a sharp stick, if you
poke a BULL you're asking for it! Well, you're still alive but next time
drink the wine AFTER poking and you'll know WHAT you're poking there
Pookie.
Now there's an obscure reference if I ever saw one, just for fun who was
Pookie? That question has two possible answers, I'll accept either one
and for the bonus points name the show. Uh oh, that also has two possible
answers which raises the number of Pookies to six, a real mind bender.
