Subject: Tony VK3FBD's Movie on Ham Radio
-----------------------------------------
Somehow, I don't think 02:31ony will be happy with me, on my
take of a movie, or even Video on Ham Radio.
Perhaps some food chain would sponsor the project by serving
a Hammie Breakfast of "Ham n Eggs" or is that as a Hoosier
told me... "Grunts n Cackles" ? ..
Anyhow, saw these comments and one to me from Warren
<< Well actually both are posted by Warren KB2VXA >>
so, here goes nothing.... tallyho...roll tape...

Hey Warren ...look at that path..from NJ to ONT.

Hiya Warren. No ... Citizen's Band opened with a young guy
on Ch 19 ...talking to truckers, with both his callsign and
whatever...also doing the emergency thing, which takes him
out on the road with his Chevy Nomad wagon with lights flashing
and whips wiggling and tires screechng..etc... and in the
course of playing like REACT..he experiences the voice in the
night called "Electra"..and then all "whatever" breaks loose
with him quoting FCC rules, and toppling towers, as was done
in reality by the "Master Control" nuts in the Midwest...who
turned out to be < CENSORED> and not CB'ers.
I laughed so hard..because whether it be CB or Hammiedom
it shows our society, and ..gee ..now more then ever I
want to get a copy of this movie.

Hmmm...1969 eh? The days of the SONAR FS23, the CB3A and
well that radio really sold due to the sponsor using a guy's
idea for the CH 9 stuff....And I was amazed when the CB'ers
convinced their FCC or DOC people to make it a Distress Channel
I mean...who in their right mind would want a distress frequency
in an ISM band? Oh yeah..other rigs that were hefty boat
anchors ..the Johnson Two and one, as well the Fairchild which
..well it couldn't even be stolen out of a car...just a block
of iron...emitting 3watts on CB.
As for playing a part...well ok warren. Me too! hahahahaha
Now to findout from VK3FBD where to apply?
> Well, I can understand "hammiedom" being CB like,

Actually, I call it "Super CB" nowadays....

Hey Warren... look at that path.

Hi Neil. Actually they tracked a boater in distress just
by the cellphone, as he totally lost himself out on our lake
here which is samller then the great lakes. Even FRS now
has GPS tracking features too!

Agreed... even the hammie in Jericho the TV show charged the
town money to use his hammie equipment....I guess he wanted
to sell it, so thought he might as well rent out his station.
Glad they didn't depend on that stuff...it would have been
as you say boring.

And then the public has a fast attention span..so the show
better be good..or else.

I remember the kids on our street thought our local ham was
a "mad scientist" he only times we saw him were up his tower
and at halloween. Looked like he never wetn out in the sun
or daytime. We thought his family had him locked downstairs
in the basement.... Mmmm...I guess maybe they are crazy or mad
when they are all alone down there on the air...chatting
and saying "WE" are doing this or that..."OUR" ..blab blab
and mmm they are the only ones there!!! I wondered about
this "WE" bit I hear...but Warren you have given me a clue
to this serious problem... WE <grin>..have to make this
movie or video now to save ourselves and our familys
and our countrys....hahahaha
> humor, Bob VK6BE always gets it wrong, how about a mad ham

Yeah warren...Bob can borrow that trolley or cart or grocey
store cart to transport his portable radios to where ever he
has to go to save these stranded peoples.
Butt naked? Really? aaaah I got to have a copy of this
movie. Where do I get a copy? What's the title?
I can hardly wait now, Warren for Bob to comeback with his
take of your idea, for his part in this show?

WHAT! ?!?!?! Huh... now you screaming up the New Jersey Beach
and why? Persued by that woman you told me about in that chatzone?
Hahahaha...now for sure I need this tape..Oh warren...she'd love
that one... whip in hand appliying it to your butt...Thats
enough to send you packing for your Knight's Domain in UK
as well as London to live as the King... Warren the First.

OK..Warren... Now where do I go to get into this movie?
I wanna a part...hahahaha....maybe I could peddle the generator
butt naked with Bob in the Outback with the natives? Any
meters to read? Oh bother....
This is funny ... Just what the Land of the Packeteers need.
