Hi Petrovich and comerades,

We just have differing views and opinions is all, perfectly normal in a
world where no two agree on anything. I see your point but just to
clarify mine, the devil is most powerful when he doesn't exist. Turn your
back, close your eyes and he bites you, like Gomer said surprise,
surprise, surprise. I'll go with Caeser, keep your friends close and your
enemies closer. That's why I dig into such hateful things, know thine
enemy. OK, I read the Satanic Bible but does that mean I'm a devil
worshiper? I've read Mein Kampf, poked around in KKK and Aryan Nation web
sites, am I a White Supremicist? On the other hand I've looked over The
New World of Islam and the Black Panthers so now I'm an Oreo??? (;->)

"Aaah Warren this isn't the forums on the NET where you toy with them."
You're too darn serious, but in any case The Hunt For Red October is
over, we found it. Oh and BTW that Soviet National Anthem was the one the
wrestler sang as he waved the flag and it is inspiring, Google will give
it to you in Russian and English. Still Advance Australia Fair is my
favorite, Google that too while you're at it.

I didn't understand why either at the time but the answer is so simple it
escapes, it hides in plain sight. You don't declare war when fighting on
the side of an ally, the enemy isn't your enemy but the enemy of your
ally. Some times it takes decades to see through the muddy waters of
politics and the Mekong Delta is as muddy as they come. Actually I
learned more as a WBAI listener than as a volunteer, I just can't
concentrate on production while listening to the air monitor and the prod
monitor at the same time. Frankly you can't change an old war horse with
truth about the war, young minds that haven't been indoctrinated are
clean slates open to truth. Those were the protesters while the parents
being of the WW2 generation yelled at us "America, love it or leave it."
So we yelled back "Hell no we won't go, we love America so we'll stay and
change it." Of course it all fell on deaf ears and the dirty hippie
Commie pinko bastids won a hollow victory, they didn't stop the war,
America was soundly defeated... and to this day refuses to admit the
truth.

Yeah, the men in trench coats standing in the shadows are just another
breed of rat infesting cities. They didn't follow me around as I never
stood in the spotlight like WBAI did but I'll bet dollars to doughnuts
I'm still on Hoover's black list (to borrow from a TV commercial) ten
million strong and growing.

The characters in Rocky and Bullwinkle were classic figures but I don't
think they represented anyone in particular, rather archtypes. While
General Burkholter and Fearless Leader wore the same type uniform they
didn't look anywhere alike, still both were archtypes. Boris Badenov got
his name from cheap vodka at the time, Boris Goodenov. Right on the
bottle was printed "When they get drunk Boris is Goodenov." I can't get
Betty Grable out of my head either but in any case Natasha Fatale's name
should be obvious, the classic Mata Hari femme fatale type.

Speaking of old cartoons rarely seen, I remember some no longer seen at
all and one in particular never seen at all. Warner Brothers cranked out
"patriotic" cartoons by the boatload during WW2 and you won't see
caractures of Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini demonizing the enemies because now
the war has been over so long they're simply offensive. I have Bugs Bunny
Nips The Nips around here someplace and something about Red Riding Hood
and the wolf I don't remember the title of, the one that got killed by
the censors. Yeah, it was rather suggestive. (;->) Then there were plenty
B&W cartoons from the '30s that were shown on Saturday morning TV that
today are considered racist and will never be shown again. Now really,
are kids today any different or are we the only ones who never thought in
those terms? Oh well Dylan was right, the times they are a changin'.
