On the standard ahnentafel chart, each entry is given a number which,
when converted into a binary number specifies the exact relationship of
that entry to the subject (normally the person submitting the
information) who is the focus of the chart, who is always "1", whether
male or female.   Otherwise there is one bit for each generation and a
binary "1" indicates a male ancestor, and a binary "0" a female
ancestor, thus:

individual named in that line of descent and the second date is the
earliest possible date of death of the last direct ancestor in that line
