Hello all

I have a friend who is trying to get an EPSON EPL5500 printer running under
WIN95. This is a new laser printer and has a new IEEE standard interface
designed to take advantage of WIN95.

When he does a printout of say, 3 pages, it sometimes goes through without
a hitch while other times it will only printout the first two pages but not
the third. The green data light keeps flashing forever until you manually
feed the last page when it comes out with only a part of the text having
been printed.

A similar thing happens if you ask for a test print if you change print
drivers. I have tried several different print drivers (eg) HP Laser III and
HP Laser 4 etc. The green light flashes but no test print appears until you
do a manual feed.

Several things I have tried are:-

Successfully connected an EPL5200 printer to the same PC.
Changed cables on the "difficult" printer.
Enabled & disabled the bi-directional function.

I have had no joy...

Any suggestions??
