Hi All Epson users,
I have used for many years the Epson 640 but sadly the other day I
broke it, sad day indeed.
I went out and bought a Epson 680 to replace it, now here's the rub, I
always (because I am a tight wad) Fill my own ink cartridges, this worked
great with the 640 but to my dismay when I got the new machine home, I found
that they now have a chip on the back which tells the printer when they are
out of ink, does at this point the printer stop printing even if there is
ink in one part of say, the colour cartridge if so, is there any way round
this? has anybody successfully filled one of these? Or are we forced to pay
the high price that is asked for a Epson refill? Or any idea where in the Uk
cheaper would be ones can be obtained from?
  Any info very much appreciated.
