Hello Andrew and BBCers.

A comment from Andrew, G8TZJ, states an important point raised in the BBC
program about a new form of power transmission....

"The BBC report was trying to indicate the the 10MHz coils were "resonant"
windings and it was not just a simple transformer action that was coupling
the energy."

Yes, Andrew, resonance would be a vital factor in magnetic 'power shifting'.
To get anything like 40% efficiency, as quoted, it would be nescessary; and
also be selective and not interfere with other possible 'targets'.
I had moved on to the area between the source and the target to think about
how the energy would be conveyed. Whether it would be combined EM wave, or
some form that was 'magnetic' only. I had been thinking about the EM wave in
a 'near field' after reading a bulletin from Felix, HB9ABX. Felix wrote about
a relationship involving the laws of J C Maxwell which he thinks is evident.
This may or may not be the clue, and is unlikely to be the 'near field', as
opposed to the 'far field' in our RF propogation. This is what I, and maybe
Felix, was writing about earlier.

I replied to this in a bulletin 'Antennas and EM Waves (HB9ABX) on may 22.
But without more information, about the source of the BBC program that Paul,
G4IGL, sent as a bulletin, we are all 'out of resonance', so to speak!

This 'new invention' may solve the problem of how to get the energy from an
orbiting solar generator back to earth and solve all our power problems.
So, we should all let our imagination resonate and come up with an answer!

Still thinking,

73. Dick. VK3ABK.
