Hi Ray and all,

Never mind talking, you're fingers are doing a nice job. Leave your
tongue in cheek, it makes you look like a real hamster! Oh sire it's that
simple, anything you DON'T like done just whisper to the greenies.
Anything you DO want done whisper to the whales. Take that wireless power
thing for example, remind them of how you avoid digging for worms and
make them come to you. Right, drive in a couple of rods and send down
some AC and the worms go into convulsions and crawl to the surface. Tell
the whales that the towers will electrify the ground and they'll have
their fill of worms. That'll work for the land whales but there's another
approach for the cetatian variety, it works in water too and fish swim
right up to the boat. Soon you'll have towers on land and sea and none of
those ugly wires, a lot of happy whales too. Whales are our friends, save
the whales!

Well, it's a better idea than those solar satellites beaming power to
Earth via microwave beams. The frequency is too high to excite the worms,
only cooks them and whales like them raw. Speaking of frequencies, 10MHz
is still to high, 50Hz is more like it. Wrap the Earth with wire like a
big ball of string and you have a good iron core transformer ideal for
powering everything on the planet. Sometime in the future the wire can be
salvaged for tapping the planetary magnetic field when we figure out how
to tap all that current the solar system creates and currently (oh, a
pun) goes to waste.

Oh, look closely and think, all this tongue in cheeky nonsense is
actually based on sound scientific principles and known facts. Ah, such
is the basis for science fiction, some of the best writers are also
physicists.

Never forget, a tongue in cheek is a hamster's best friend unless it's
another hamster of the opposite sex. Every four days it's guaranteed,
every four days!

UK sysops, this flagged bull is safe to forward, I'm just testing you.
