Hi there,
I arrived at Marc's place at 16:00, well into the Asian window...
HB9BBD was in the log and was heard with VERY loud sigs till his moonset.
We even worked him on SSB. (55/51)
We also worked F6CGJ, F5PAU, W2UHI,N6BQ, DJ9YW, OE9ERC (55/44), S59DCD.
We were surprised to work TM8EME on our second call at 17:26. (569/549)
The big dish was also very strong but HB9BBD was consistently stronger!
We enjoyed listening to the many stations working TM8EME on his limited
operating time. Many callsigns would have been nice to have in our log...
While running the sked with WA8WZG, KD4LT showed up and we worked him for
a new initial. Nil in skeds with 9H1ES and W7GBI.
Other stations heard/called: DD1XF,VE1ALQ, G4CCH(*),ZS6AXT, F1ANH,JA6CZD(*)
SM2CEW. We hrd DF3RU in SSB but could not attract his attention, so we're
still hunting for Karl,...
Our echoes were very weak during daytime with showers and periodically some
wind gusts. After midnight, the condx were much better although the US-activityin particular was very bad. Only W2UHI was getting through with good sigs for
many hours. [*= would-be initial]
Marc did work his first tropo QSO's during the May-contest!!!
Two G-stations and one ON station were logged. Needless to say all 59...
The beacon GB3MHL was 59++ with lots of QSB.
Best 73,
ON7EH
