Hello DX'ers
From Andy, GW0KZG/mm, I have received information about his past planned EME
activity. The week-end of Februari 23/24 Andy had hoped to be QRV on EME
from his /mm position in the Gulf of Oman. However, after 45 minutes of
operation the "dreadful knock on the door" came: "You are causing LFD."
End of operation.... The installed wheather sensing equipment was not
equiped to handle the amount of power Andy was producing, so Andy had to
cease operation. However, Andy will move his antenna to another position
on the ship and intends to be QRV again for EME schedules for the week-end
of March 21-24. Schedules will be handled by VE7BQH and KB8RQ. If you like a
sked: do not forget Andy runs only moderate power into a single 13 ele yagi.
On the other hand: there might be plenty of sea (ground) gain!
