S92UN is active now in 12/15/40 meters with a dipoles antennas. Strong
signals on 14260-14270 and 21260-21270 Khz, Listening up (split).
Activity on 28 Mhz can happen when there is more readiness, by virtue of the
Duarte to meet in S.Tomé and Principe in work and it only operates in the
end of the day. With 17 days of activity (+ - 5 hours / day) it possesses in
its log about 4.000 QSOs. It almost possesses propagation for Japan and
Brazil the whole time, for this reason he asks to the same ones that have
patience when it is to operate for areas, he has special attention to Europe
and United States. Duarte also asks that have patience in the answer to the
cards QSL, because he can only answer when he returns to Portugal. It is in
study the possibility of a page to be created in the internet, it awaits the
decision of Duarte.

03/05/2003:  Look for Marco, IK1YED/p, to be QRV May 3rd from possibly 3 new
DCI references for the Italian Castles Award. He plans to activate SV-167,
SV-168 and SV-169. All castle references are located in the Region of
Liguria, Province of Savona (SV), Grid Loc JN44. QSL via home call, direct

03/05/2003:  Look for Franco, IK4DCS/p, to be QRV the morning of May 3rd
from Castello di Dinazzano a Casalgrande (DCI reference RE-012 for the
Italian Castles Award) and Castello di Salvaterra a Casalgrande (DCI
reference RE-013). Both Castle of Dinazzano to Casalgrande and Castle of
Salvaterra to Casalgrande are located in the Region of Emilia Romagna,

06/05/2003:  2003 is the European Disabled Persons Year, so Domi, F5PTI, and
friends will be active for, using the special call-sign TM5I from May, 6th

09/05/2003:  Look for members of the Pernambuco State club to be QRV as
ZW7AA between May 9th and 11th from the Ponta de Pedras (PE) Lighthouse (DFB
reference PE-03 for the Brazilian Lighthouse Award, Grid HI22). Operation
will be on 40 through 6 meters, SSB and CW. A special QSL card will be

18/05/2003:  On May, 18th, Domi, F5PTI, and friends will use the special
call sign TM5I, for the 2nd European Castles Day, from the Oisellerie Castle
(JN05BN). The crew will consist of Domi, F5PTI, Alain, F6ANA, and Joël,
F8DCZ. Look for them in CW/SSB, 80 to 10 meters and on 2 meters (144.316
mHz). QSL via F5PTI, either direct or via the French REF Bureau. [Tnx F5NQL]


24/05/2003:  Industry Canada has authorized the use of a "Special Event
Prefix" to celebrate 50th Anniversary of the National Library of Canada. The
special prefixes can be used from May 24th (00:01 UTC) until July 27th
(23:59 UTC). The prefixes will be CK for all VE's, CJ for all VA's, CY for
all VO's and CZ for all VY's. [Tnx RAC]


31/05/2003:  Pedro, HK3JJH, reports that he will possibly be QRV May 31st to
June 2nd from SA-082 (HK2 - Guajira/Magdalena division). Operation will be
on all bands, mostly 20 meter SSB. QSL only direct to Pedro (Pedro J. Allina
B., PO Box 81119, Bogotß, Colombia, S.A.). Please remember the return

31/05/2003:  Bob N5ET with xyl Linda KE5TF and Peter GM3OFT expect to be QRV
May 31st as MM/N5ET/P from Raasay Island (IOTA EU-008, IOSA NH-10, SCOTIA
CN-24, Loc. IO67xi). Start time will be approximately 09:00 UTC, for about 5
hours. Activity will be on 40, 20 and 15 meters, following propagation.

01/06/2003:  Look for the special event call VC3RCS to be active between
June 1st and 30th to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the formation of the

04/06/2003:  Bob N5ET with xyl Linda KE5TF and Peter GM3OFT expect to be QRV
June 4th as MM/N5ET/P from Great Cumbrae Island (IOTA EU-123, IOSA CL-03,
SCOTIA CS-17, Loc. IO75ns). Start time will be approximately 11:30 UTC, for
about 6 hours. Activity will be on 40, 20 and 15 meters, following
propagation. Direct QSLs EU-only via GM3OFT, all other areas via N5ET or

07/06/2003:  Each year on the 1st weekend in June, the old town of
Streetsville celebrates the passing of their town into the City of
Mississauga, in 1973. The Bread & Honey Festival, now a three day event and
started as a wake, is now in it's 31th year. Each year, over 40,000 people
come to enjoy the bread supplied by the two remaining mills in town and
honey supplied by local businesses, as well as the parade, arts and crafts
displays, entertainment and a midway for young folks. The Mississauga
Amateur Radio Club, VE3MIS, operates a special event station at the festival
for QSL and certificate collectors. Operating times are 14:00 to 20:00 UTC
on June 7th and 8th. SSB frequencies are 7.227, 14.240, 21.315 and 28.480
MHz +/- QRM. Requests for QSL cards and certificates to MARC, c/o Michael
Brickell, VE3TKI, 2801 Bucklepost Crescent, Mississauga, ON  L5N 1X6 Canada,

27/06/2003:  Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the City of Lloydminster,
Alberta. Municipal Special Event Prefix has been authorized to be used by
all Radio Amateurs Operators of Lloydminster for this event. The prefixes
will be CG5 for VE5, CF5 for VA5, CG6 for VE6 and CF6 for VA6. [Tnx RAC]
