>>> Press Release #4 for Western Sahara Desert Dxpedition 2003 <<<

Yesterday the S05X multi-national team installed new antennas with
excellent results, thanks also to good openings towards North
America (also on 160 metres) and Japan.

The first batch of QSOs (around 15600 contacts made from 23.45 UTC
on 15 April through 00.58 UTC on the 19th) was successfully
uploaded this morning and as of 13.30 UTC log search was
regurlarly up and running at http://www.pagus.it/s05x/ - give a
look to the statistics already available.

As of tomorrow, further logs, as well as pictures and the
DXpedition diary, will be uploaded daily using the Internet
connection of a nearby United Nations camp.

Tomorrow morning (19 April) S05X will be QRV for EC stations on 15
metres.

The messages arrived to the pilots have been forwarded to the
operators, who are informed of sunrise/sunset times and will do
their best to be QRV accordingly.

Europeans are requested to be patient and stop calling when S05X
looks for stations from specific areas: thank you in advance for
cooperation.

The pilots stations are Maurizio, I1-21171/IZ1CRR
(i121171@425dxn.org) and Mauro, I1JQJ (i1jqj@425dxn.org); please
send your messages to the both of them and put "S05X" in the
subject line.

Good Luck in working the DXpedition, de

Maurizio Bertolino, IZ1CRR and Mauro Pregliasco, I1JQJ
