DIE CONTEST ---> The 9th edition of the DIE Contest for working stations
located on Spanish islands will be held from 6 to 12 UTC on 22 June. The DIE
Contest software is available from Paco, EA5OL (http://www.ea5ol.net). [TNX

IRAQ ---> Reports on US Military personnel operating as YI/home call from
Iraq include Jim Dunkerton, YI/KT4CK and Mark Smith, YI/NG5L. Wayne Mills,
N7NG (ARRL Membership Services Manager) says that "the League will accept for
DXCC credit YI/ operations from Iraq by US or British military personnel
provided the operator has written permission from his/her commanding officer,
until an interim Iraqi government is in place". After that point, operators
would need documented permission from Iraqi authorities. [TNX The ARRL

PIRATE ---> Joe, W3HNK has been receiving cards for QSO with 9V1SM on 12m CW.
Please note that Sasi, 9V1SM operates only on PSK31 and SSB. If you did

QSL 5W1RA ---> Please note that Tom, N6RA used this call back in November
1990 and has nothing to share with the current 5W1RA. The call has been
reissued to Rich, KB7KET who has been on a missionary assignment in Samoa for
the last three months. The QSL route for the current 5W1RA is being arranged.

QSL EP6KI ---> Phil, G4WFZ reports he has now finished processing all of the
direct QSL requests for EP6KI (AS-166) received so far. He will make a start
on the bureau cards as soon as he has the time.
QSL EU-169 ---> Alfredo, IK7JWX reports that he expects to mail the QSL cards
for ZA0IS and ZA0/IK7JWX (Sazan Island, December 2002) this coming week.
QSL ZA/LY2MM ---> All direct requestst will be processed within the end of
April. Bureau cards will have to wait until summer due to Al's, LY2MM,

QSL VIA F5OGL ---> The Daily DX reports that Didier has received several logs
for the late Jean-Claude, F2XX (TR8XX and TR8JJC) and is now able to confirm
the following QSOs:
F2XX: 15 Jul 1980 - 10 Jul 1983
25 Aug 1984 - 12 Jun 1986
1 Aug 1988 - 26 Sep 1988
TR8JJC: 22 Sep 1986 - 10 Jul 1988
TR8XX: 7 Oct 1989 - 1 Dec 1991
YK1BA ---> Saad, N5FF has postponed his planned operation from Syria [425DXN
619] due to the current overall situation in the Middle East. "No firm date
has been set for my trip yet, but it's possible to take place in couple of
weeks or so, and it may even be postponed till later on in the year". [TNX

Tuatai Tupou, ZK1MA (from Rarotonga)/ZK1CY (from Manihiki), who became a SK
in Australia on 12 April.

LOGS:: The LLDXT DXpedition to the Faroe Islands "had lots of fights with
the propagation and the high winds" and managed to log 26964 QSOs
(14041 CW, 11054 SSB, 1532 RTTY, 300 PSK and 37 SSTV) in 10 days.
