12/07/2002: Antonio, I0SBA/p, will be active December 7th from Castel
Sant'Angelo a Roma (DCI reference RM-206 for the Italian Castles Award).
Operation will be on 40 and 20 meter SSB. Castel Sant'Angelo is located in
the Region of Lazio, Province of Roma (RM). QSL via home call, direct or

12/07/2002: Salvatore, IK1AWV/p, will be active, weather permitting,
December 7th from Torre del Castello di Castelvecchio a Imperia (DCI
reference IM-035 for the Italian Castles Award) and Torre di Santa Cristina
di Castelvecchio a Imperia (DCI reference IM-036). Operation will be from
09:30 to 12:00 UTC, on 20 meters (14258 to 14240 kHz) SSB. Both references
are located in the Region of Liguria, Province of Imperia (IM). QSL to home

12/07/2002: Vincenzo, IT9NVA/p, plans to be active December 7th from Isola

12/07/2002: Look for LU1AEE/D, LU7DW/D, LU8EKC/D and LW8EXF/D to be active
from the lighthouse (ARG-045) located on Martin Garcia island (SA-055)
between December 7th and 8th. Operation will be on all bands SSB, CW and

12/07/2002: Kunio, JA8VE, will be active as VK9XE from Christmas Island
(OC-002) between December 7th and 14th. Operation will be mostly 20 and 15

8th from Castello di Solimbergo a Sequals (DCI reference PN-016 for the

PN-019). Both references are located in the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia,
Province of Pordenone (PN). Operation will be on 40 and 20 meters, morning

12/10/2002: John, K4BAI, will be active from Barbados (NA-021) between
December 10th and 17th. He plans to participate in the ARRL 10 Meter
Contest, on both modes, as 8P9Z and using high power if an amplifier is
available. Outside of the contest, look for John to be active as 8P9HT on

12/10/2002: Jose Pastora, TI2JJP, plans to be active as TI9JJP from Cocos

12/11/2002: Gary Belcher, KH6GMP, will be on a one man DXpedition to
Johnston Island (OC-023) from December 11th to 17th. The following modes
will be used: SSB, RTTY, PSK31, there will be no CW operation. His callsign
will be KH6GMP/KH3. QSL via KH6GMP with SASE or IRC or via KH6 Bureau, NO
E-mail QSLs please. During the ARRL 10 Meter Contest, activity will be a
full contest effort SSB only. Prior to and after the contest, activity will

12/11/2002: Steve, G0UIH, will be active December 11th to 12th as VK2IAY/p
from North Stradbroke Island (OC-137). Operation will be 14.260, 18.145 and
21.260 MHz SSB only, with 100 watts and monoband dipoles. QSL via G0UIH,

12/11/2002: Tony, PY8IT, will be active as PY0FT between December 8th and
10th from Fernando de Noronha (SA-003). Operation will be mainly on the

12/11/2002: Jay, K0BCN (V31MX) and Cal, V31MF, will be on Caye Caulker
(NA-073), Belize, between December 11th and 17th. Activity will be on
20/15/10 meters SSB, and they will be in the 10 meter contest as V31MX as a

12/12/2002: Ivan, G3IZD, will operate as AE4WK from Anna Maria Island
(NA-034, USI FL-016S) December 12th to 15th. Anna Maria Island is located in

12/12/2002: PY8AZT, PY8DAN, PT2ND and PT2PS will be active as ZW8P from
Cotijuba Island (SA-060) between December 12th and 17th for the 2002 ARRL 10
Meter Contest. Two stations will be active on 80 through 6 meters. QSL via

12/14/2002: Jean Marc, F8IXZ, will stay in the National Park of Djouj, in
North Senegal, near the Mauritanian boarder between December 14th and 22nd.
He has asked for a 6W callsign. If he can't get it, he will be 6W4/F8IXZ as
guest operator. On the way, at the beginning and at the end of his trip in
Senegal, he will have short stays in Dakar where he will sign 6W1/F8IXZ. His
equipement consists of a FT847 and a G5RV antenna. He plans to be active
from 40 t0 10 meters , WARC bands included and mostly CW. QSL via F8IXZ.

(December 14-15th), on both modes, as 8P9Z and using high power if an

12/14/2002: Ken, K6TA, and Kay, K6KO, will be active from Aruba (SA-036) as
P40K in the ARRL 10m contest (December 14-15) as a Multi/Single/High Power

Curacao (SA-006) as PJ2T in the ARRL 10m contest (December 14-15) as a

12/15/2003: Jack, F6HMJ, will be active from Guadeloupe Island (NA-102,
DIFO: FG-001) as TO2FG between December 15th, 2002, and January 15, 2003.

12/16/2003: Alfredo, IK7JWX, and other members of the Salantro DX Group,
are planning to be active from Sazan Island (EU-169), Albania, between
December 16th and 21st. They will be using ZA/homecalls. Also planned is the
activation of Sazan Island lighthouse (ALB-004). QSL via the individuals

12/21/2002: John, W2AGN (ARLHS member #142), will be active during the
"Lighthouse Christmas Lights" event as W2C. He plans to be active between
14:00 UTC December 21st to 19:00 UTC December 22nd from Finn's Point Rear
Range Light (USA-285). The lighthouse is located in the Fort Mott area,
Pennsville, NJ (Salem County). If the weather does not cooperate, John will
activate Finn's Point Rear Range on the following weekend. QSL W2C via John

12/21/2002: The Central Texas Contest Group, WA5DTK, will be active between
00:01 UTC December 21st and 11:59 UTC December 31st from various lighthouses
located in Texas. No other specifics were given. Look for them on 7260,
