11/30/2002: Members of the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society will be
active November 30th from Great Cumbrae Island (EU-123). Operation will be
on 160 through 10 meters, CW and SSB. QSL via GM0WRR. [tnx 425DXN]
11/30/2002: Franco, IK4DCS/p, will be active November 30th from Residenza
Fortificata o I Torrioni di San Prospero (DCI reference MO-027 for the
Italian Castles Award) and a new reference (DCI MO-061). Operation will be
on 40 and 20 meters, SSB and CW. Both references are located in the Region
of Emilia Romagna, Province of Modena (MO). QSL via home call, direct or

12/2002: Bill, W9VA, and others will be QRV as PJ2/homecall from Signal
Point, Curacao (SA-006). They plan to participate in the ARRL 10-Meter

12/2002: Lex, RU0LM, will be active as RU0LM/0 (weather permitting) from
Shikotan Island (AS-062, RR-15-06, Region SL) in early December for about

12/01/2002: Lee, DS4CNB, will be joining the team at the Korean base King
Sejong (WABA HL-01), located on King George Island, South Shetlands
(AN-010). He will be working at the base from December 1, 2002 to November
30, 2003. Operation will be on all bands and modes as either HL0KSJ and

12/01/2002: Salvatore, IK1AWV/p, will be active December 1st from Castello
di Prela (DCI reference IM-056 for the Italian Castles Award, Loc: JN33XW).
Start time will be approximately 08:30 UTC. Operation will be on 40 (7065 to
7045 kHz) and 20 meters (14258 to 14240 kHz) SSB. Castello di Prelá
is located in the Region of Liguria, Province of Imperia (IM). QSL via home

12/01/2002: Mario, IV3ZDL/p, will be active December 1st from Castello di
Montereale Valcellina (DCI reference PN-005 for the Italian Castles Award)
in the morning and Castello di Maniago (DCI reference PN-004) in the
afternoon. Both activations are weather dependent. The references are
located in the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Province of Pordenone (PN).

12/01/2002: Alan, K6ACZ/DU, will be active the entire month of December
from Philippines (OC-042). He also plans to participate in the ARRL 10 Meter

12/01/2002: Bruce, AC4G, will be active starting the first week of December
as V73CW from the Marshall Islands (OC-028). Length of stay is unknown at

12/02/2002: Members of the STARS radio club will be active December 2nd to
8th from St. Croix (NA-106) during their anniversary tour using the callsign
K9V. Operators will be Joe WF9V, William WW9WW, Ron W7FLE, Stacey WG9J and
Tom W9AEB. Activity will be on 160 through 6 meters CW/SSB/PSK. QSL via

12/02/2002: Steve, G0UIH, will be active December 2nd to 5th as VK2IAY/p
from Lady Elliot Island (OC-142). Operation will be 14.260, 18.145 and
21.260 MHz SSB only, with 100 watts and monoband dipoles. QSL via G0UIH,

12/02/2002: Atsu, 5W1SA, will be active from Tokelau (OC-048) for a couple
of weeks starting December 2nd. His ZK3 callsign (hopefully ZK3SA) will be

12/03/2002: Ken, K6TA, and his xyl Kay, K6KO, will be active from Aruba
(SA-036) between December 3rd and 17th. The calls will be P40K by K6KO and
P40TA by K6TA. Operations will be CW, SSB and RTTY including ARRL 160 and 10
meter contests. Primary operation will be from P49V QTH. Primary operation
will be from P49V QTH. They will also have portable gear with them for
possible lighthouse activations. QSL both calls to WM6A (PO Box 73, Martell,

12/04/2002: Look for Ann W2AZK, Brian KF2HC, Gene K2KJI, Maryann K2RVH, Bob
W5GJ and Mike WA2VUN to sign FS/homecall between December 4th and 11th. The
group hopes to have 2 stations on HF and 1 station on 6 meters. Operations
will be CW, SSB, and possibly some PSK31. They plan to participate in the

12/06/2002: Alain, F2HE, will be back to French Polynesia on 6 December as
FO5RH. He plans to be on Maupiti Island (OC-067) around Christmas. QSL via

12/06/2002: Members of the Bahia Blanca DX Group will be active December
6th to 9th from Gamma Island (SA-022). The calls will be homecall/D as
follows: LU4ETN/D, LU6DRD/D, LU6EPR/D, LU7DSY/D, LU8DWR/D, LU8EBJ/D,
LU8EBK/D, LU8ECF/D, LU8EXN/D, LU9ESD/D, LW3DKC/D, LW4DRH/D, LW4DRV/D,
LW8DMK/D and LW9EAG/D. Operation will be on all bands, including WARC. QSL

ARRL 160m contest (December 6-8th) as a Single Op/High Power entry. QSL via

12/07/2002: Kunio, JA8VE, will be active as VK9XE from Christmas Island
(OC-002) between December 7th and 14th. Operation will be mostly 20 and 15

12/10/2002: John, K4BAI, will be active from Barbados (NA-021) between
December 10th and 17th. He plans to participate in the ARRL 10 Meter
Contest, on both modes, as 8P9Z and using high power if an amplifier is
available. Outside of the contest, look for John to be active as 8P9HT on
160-6 meters CW/SSB. QSL both callsigns via K4BAI.
12/11/2002: Gary Belcher, KH6GMP, will be on a one man DXpedition to
Johnston Island (OC-023) from December 11th to 17th. The following modes
will be used: SSB, RTTY, PSK31, there will be no CW operation. His callsign
will be KH6GMP/KH3. QSL via KH6GMP with SASE or IRC or via KH6 Bureau, NO
E-mail QSLs please. During the ARRL 10 Meter Contest, activity will be a
full contest effort SSB only. Prior to and after the contest, activity will

from North Stradbroke Island (OC-137). Operation will be 14.260, 18.145 and

12/11/2002: Tony, PY8IT, will be active as PY0FT between December 8th and
10th from Fernando de Noronha (SA-003). Operation will be mainly on the

12/11/2002: Jay, K0BCN (V31MX) and Cal, V31MF, will be on Caye Caulker
(NA-073), Belize, between December 11th and 17th. Activity will be on
20/15/10 meters SSB, and they will be in the 10 meter contest as V31MX as a

12/14/2002: John, K4BAI, plans to participate in the ARRL 10 Meter Contest
(December 14-15th), on both modes, as 8P9Z and using high power if an

P40K in the ARRL 10m contest (December 14-15) as a Multi/Single/High Power

12/16/2003: Alfredo, IK7JWX, and other members of the Salantro DX Group,
are planning to be active from Sazan Island (EU-169), Albania, between
December 16th and 21st. They will be using ZA/homecalls. Also planned is the
