                            >>> P5/4L4FN QRT <<<

Ed, P5/4L4FN has been QRT from North Korea since Friday evening (22
November), when the local Radio Regulation Board, without any explanation,
asked him to quit all transmissions and pack all his radio equipment. The day
after Ed disassembled his antennas and in the afternoon one of the government
officials came by and sealed all the boxes. When Ed leaves on 10 December for
his two weeks vacation he shall take everything with him out of the country.
"The end came unexpectedly and now we all have to accept it as final QRT of
P5/4L4FN operation", Ed says, "I'm absolutely sure that there is no way back
to it due to several reasons. For the 'final', many thanks to all HAM's
worldwide, you all made my life much easier and better, and my deepest
appreciation for all your support".
Ed will keep all the equipment for his next duty station. Any money received
from now on will be donated to the "ZL1AMO Air Ambulance Fund".
P5/4L4FN made a total of 16194 QSOs, with 12170 unique callsigns logged
(statistics are available at http://www.amsatnet.com/p5stats.html). We should
like to express our deepest thanks on behalf of all the amateur radio
operators worldwide who have had the pleasure of working Ed for an all time
new Entity.
