I agree that much of this has been mostly c onjecture, fuelled by
senationalist media hype, fairly often by one or tweo radical studies that
promote the possibility of such occurences.

Not long after the aautomobile was invented that many oddbaall theories
abounded, like the suffocation/asphyxiation would occur if the vehicle
exceeded 40mph (70 kph). What did occur, in fact was more like a shortage
of oxygen to the brain of the drivers, resulting in death by accident! (in
many ways, has much really changed today?)
The tabloid style (& it's variant "gutter-press"), have reduced the
respect that the "4th estate" had, to a new low.
With the manipulations & enhancements now being applied to most media
presentations (advertising heads the list here!), it is getting to be 50%
of what you hear, and 25 % of what you read is about 10% of the things
that are credible. (almost 3/5 of 5/8 of stuff sall (next to nothing)

The present state of the media has produced the greatest level of
sceptics (and also suckers ) that we've known.
Still, one thing is for certain. we are all going to die. Modern society
now has given us many choices. If it isn't one thing, it'll be one (or
more) of the others. It appears no mater whay you eat, or don't eat, doo
or don't do. etc., its going to be bad for your health, and shorten your
life expectancy,
So in the words of Alfred E. Neumann (Mad Magazine) "What? me worry?
- from a satirical magazine almost comes wisdom?
