a new spectrum analyzer program running under Windows95 or WindowsNT is available at
http://members.aol.com/mhbaer/Analyzer
The program needs a 16 bit stereo sound card. It offers a spectrum display up to 22 kHz with resolution bandwidths of 3.9 Hz to 170 Hz. Additionally a sonagraphic display is available for time-frequency analysis.
Level and frequency rulers combined with level riding markers support exact mesurements with 1 dB accuracy.
Audio distortion measurements together with transmitter 2tone measurements (after down conversion) are real fun.
The beta version of the program has been released by DL6MCT (Martin). He likes to get comments and suggestions (also bug reports) but he is only available
under Email at MHBAER@AOL.COM.
