ing and
graphics displays like with IE (Internet Explorer) that comes with Win9x.

And finally a small note for Win9x users. I also use Win9x machines but I
often struggle to wade through bloated and slow websites for downloads.
Internet Explorer does'nt help because of the way it does'nt load pages from
its disk cache and insists on reloading from fresh when the back/forwards
keys are used. The IBM and Microsoft sites are good examples of big websites
that make looking for a simple download take a long time. In this case I
revert
to the FTP.EXE dos prpgram supplied with Windows. Just log on to your isp
as normal and go to the START > RUN menu and type "ftp www.microsoft.com"
without the quotes and you can grab files just like you are using dos on your
own pc. Learn the commands, like BINARY to setup binary transfers and BGET
or MGET commands for downloads and you'll soon see the advantages of command
line operation !
