The "INTERNATIONAL BEACONS AWARD" has been organized in occasion to
the Marconian Year 1995.
It is issued by Bordighera A.R.I section and is available to
worldwide licensed amateurs and SWL'S who submit proof with written
confirmation of having heard Beacons controlled by A.R.I. stations
or licensed amateurs. The duration of the award is unlimited;
receptions after January 1st 1995 are valid.
The I.B.A features four colours and is issued in three different
classes corresponding to three "MARKERS" in various colours on white
background.
>-- The first is reserved to VHF, UHF, SHF. For this certificate
applicants need 5 confirmations of receptions coming from 5 different
"SQUARES". Among the 5 confirmations there must be at least two
different bands. The award will be distinguished by a RED "marker".
SHORT WAVE amateur listeners are given even two classes: "BASIC" and
"EXTRA". Listening receptions from 160 m. to 6 m. included are
reserved to both.
>-- To obtain the "BASIC" award with a BLUE coloured "marker", 15
confirmations of Beacons stations receptions operating from 15
different countries located in at least three different Continents
are required.
>-- For the issue of the prestigious award "EXTRA", which has a GOLD
"marker" on the left, applicants must be in possession of 25
confirmations of Beacons operating from 25 different countries
located in the Continents: AF, EU, AS, OC, NA, SA.
Two Italian Beacons stations in memory of Guglielmo Marconi
operational on the frequency of 28.195 MHz. and on the frequency of
21.151 MHz. will encourage the achievement of the two award in short
waves, for their listening reception is not only valid as Italy but
can substitute some countries according to the following order:
>-- The first on the frequency of 28.195 MHz. corresponds to 3
countries for the "BASIC" award and to 6 countries for the "EXTRA"
award.
>-- The second on the frequency of 21.151 MHz. corresponds to 2
countries for the "BASIC" award and to 4 countries for the "EXTRA"
award.
How to request the I.B.A. award

To apply for the award applicants should send a list of listening
receptions along with a photocopy of the confirming QSL.
Applications accompanied by Italian œ 10000, $ 5 or 10 IRC's for the
other countries, should be sent to the following address:

Il diploma "INTERNATIONAL BEACONS AWARD" e' stato organizzato in
occasione dell'Anno Marconiano 1995.
Viene rilasciato dalla sezione A.R.I. di BORDIGHERA a Radioamatori e
SWL di tutto il mondo che abbiano ricevuto la conferma di ascolto di
stazioni Beacons o Radiofari gestiti da associazioni Radioamatoriali
o da Radioamatori. La durata del DIPLOMA e' illimitata e gli ascolti
avranno valore a partire dal 1ø GENNAIO 1995.
L'I.B.A. si presenta in quattro colori e viene rilasciato in tre
categorie alle quali corrisondono 3 "MARKER" di colore diverso su
sfondo bianco.
>-- La prima e' riservata alle VHF,UHF,SHF. Per questo riconoscimento
sono necessarie 5 conferme di ascolto provenienti da 5 "SQUARE"
diversi. Tra le 5 conferme dovranno risultare almeno 2 gamme
differenti. Il diploma verr… distinto dal "marker" ROSSO.
Agli appassionati dell'ascolto in ONDE CORTE sono dedicate ben 2
categorie: "BASIC e EXTRA". Ad entrambe sono riservati gli ascolti
dai 160 m. ai 6 m. compresi.
>-- Per il rilascio del diploma "BASIC", con "marker" di colore BLU,
sono richieste le conferme di ascolto di 15 stazioni Beacons operanti
da 15 Paesi differenti collocati in almeno tre continenti diversi.
>-- Per il rilascio del diploma superiore "EXTRA", che avra' sulla
sinistra il "marker" ORO, sono richieste le conferme di ascolto di 25
stazioni Beacons operanti da 25 Paesi differenti collocati nei 6
continenti: AF, EU, AS, OC, NA, SA.
Le due stazioni Beacons italiane in ricordo di Guglielmo Marconi
operanti sulle frequenze di 28.195 MHz. e 21.151 MHz. favoriranno il
conseguimento dei due diplomi in onde corte, in quanto il loro
ascolto oltre ad essere valido come Italia, potra' sostituire alcuni
paesi secondo il seguente ordine:
>-- La prima sulla frequenza di 28.195 MHz. corrispondera' a 3 paesi
per il diploma "BASIC" e a 6 paesi per il diploma "EXTRA".
>-- La seconda sulla frequenza di 21.151 MHz. corrispondera' a 2
paesi per il diploma "BASIC" e a 4 paesi per il diploma "EXTRA".
Come richiedere il diploma I.B.A.

Per ottenere il diploma si dovra' inviare la lista degli ascolti
effettuati accompagnata dalla fotocopia delle "QSL" di conferma. Le
richieste, accompagnate da lire 10.000 per l'Italia, o da 5 dollari o
10 IRC per gli altri paesi, dovranno essere inviate al seguente
