Today is a very sad day for me.
Due to circumstances over which I have no control.
A Node that was my only link in to the UK using Radio, has been shut down and
removed, I understand that this is a Fianacial thing and the sight operators
wish to gather a greater revenue for equipment on the sight than can
realisticaly be expected of a Radio hame Club.
With no real Radio links and currently only a Dialup Modem for the internet
plus a marginal 4 users on semi intermittant basis, I can see little point in
continuing the service.
Having started on packet with a C64 and home brew modem back in the days
when it took over from RTTY and before the N-O-V in the uk was ever thought
about, it is with great reluctance that I have made this decision, but
circumstances make it my only real option, Internet links even if I had BB
are NOT -RADIO- and I do not wish to go that path.
