Hallo dear reader...

Since a few of weeks now, I am using the KAM v8.O/DAMA and I have noted a few
traffic results for your information, after having adapted my parameters as
advised by Daniel DL4VCW (KAM/Dama beta tester)

Well, I think they are quite impressive and conclusive, but read for yourself:

During "prime time" on 1 port of ON7RC UHF Dama Node, high above Brussels and
some 25km away from my qth :

5 users, 2 non-Dama :
  1 user with "normal" parameters : 34 retries - 26 bps throughput
  1 user with agressive parameters : 128 (!) retries - 12 bps throughput
me using Dama : 8 retries (thanks to the 2 above) - 262 bps throughput

5 users, all Dama :
me: 0 retries - 491 bps throughput (I couldn't monitor the other stations)
7 users , all Dama :
  me : 0 retries - 406 bps throughput (idem)
8 users, all Dama :
  me : 0 retries - 329 bps throughput (idem)

I'd rather not remember how it was in the days before I used Dama, hi...
