Hi all,
I have had qrn difficulties on 1.825 cw, consiquently there have been no
hourly tranmissions.
I have heard a few cw stations on and around 1.825 . 10.00 am gmt (8pm)
my time. I think obne was a rusian operator and was able to pick out a
couple of vk's
I resumes calls tonight making no contacts as yet.
I will try as regualy as I can around 10.00am gmt till around 12.00 hrs
gmt. mt time in australia, 8pm to midnight. I shud be listening ast
those times but i have to move 3/khz down to avoid a 'birdie" right on
1.825. probably a tv set.
Hpe to hear a few stations and from listening 160mtr c.w is quite a
challange and very rewaring when you make contacts, even though my c.w is
a bit 'rusty'. this doesnt matter as you can usually pick out a callsign
and report even if you are 'rust'
Being on in years, I must say it feels very comfortable and like radio!!
:) :) after spending a lot of time on the digital modes.
best 73's Heinz VK3BEW@VK6HGR comments welcomed.
