Hello , especially Andy

Yes , I expected a hidden agenda. Your quest for a better
Beacon identifier. Hehe.

Yes, Andy, its no fault to know morse. Also at/as SWL level.

Technically a programm is better. And having your computer
on the second is no shame. And possible - especially if you
have the web.

And , yes , i understand the point youre making.
Morse...I see it more as a ...a form of ART.
If youre a musician , youre are obliged to play a
instrument. To contribute , to show your pride and schooling
and mostly show a feeling for the arts.
Modern music for instance , the rythm is a electronic
duffduff. Whats there for individualism? Whats left?

Youre right in promoting : Morse. Technically ? No, its
overtaken.
Mozart , Bach , Brahms and you probably can name a few
others, these where leaders. They had the feel , rythm as
well as morse had. They are for a few today...but these will
probably stay with humanity to its end.

I know the restriction to HF for newcomers, which still ,
here and there are bound to morse. Well , we should welcome
a brightening of new faces to Ham - radio. And - probably
you as well will be saddened seeing morse out.

We should promote morse as , well , a special form of
expression , a form of outstanding achivement and .. to be
above the crowd.
Technically morse is not needed and should not be a
hindrance to acess.

Look , we are ol men. Glen Miller , the great BIG Bands...
they strived for a uniqe sound. lovely. Today its not for
everybody. Todays toys give acess to a multitude of
entertainment unimaginated then.
Look , probaly even Ham-Radio split into RTTY, Moonbounce,
EHF, Packet,Tracket and Pish95...We specialised. That leaves
less to plain communicating.

Finally : Yes , youre right as indivindual bound to your
resources.
NO , Machinery is better, has been proven since Watts times
and has been superceed many a times. Still , there are some
folks who love the old ways. Some of these old ways will
prove better in the long run. And I mean , with
communications we are still at the beginning. Now , where
are the Bongo Drums?
